Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air temperature actuator. Refer to Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1552340 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the mode actuator electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 1552341 Size: SH
  3. Remove the mode actuator assembly screws.
  4. Remove the mode actuator assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1552341 Size: SH

    Note: The key should be in the OFF position when connecting the electrical connectors to ensure proper calibration.

  1. Install the mode actuator assembly.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the mode actuator assembly screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.2 N·m (19 lb in).

  3. Install the mode actuator electrical connector.
  4. Install the air temperature actuator. Refer to Temperature Valve Actuator Replacement.

    5. Note: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control assembly while the HVAC control assembly and actuators are calibrating. If interrupted improper HVAC performance will result.

  5. Start the engine and let run for 1 minute.
