Exhaust Crossover Pipe Replacement LS4

1. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement.
3. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield.
4. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.
5. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe.
6. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe seal.

1. Install the exhaust crossover pipe seal to the exhaust crossover pipe at the right exhaust manifold connection.
2. Install the exhaust crossover pipe.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement.
6. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement.

Exhaust Crossover Pipe Replacement LZE/LZ4/LZ8

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement or Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
2. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield bolts.
3. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield.



4. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.
5. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe.
6. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe seals.

1. Install the exhaust crossover pipe seals to the exhaust manifolds.
2. Install the exhaust crossover pipe.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).




4. Install the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield.
5. Install the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

6. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement or Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
