Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1224793 Size: SH
  1. Remove the hood latch release cable from the instrument panel. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement .
  2. Push the hood latch lever cable (1) toward the engine compartment through the body hole.

    3. Caution: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Open and suitably support the hood.
  4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  5. Remove the hood latch release cable (1) after removing the plastic strip.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1224795 Size: SH
  1. Connect the hood latch release cable to the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  2. Arrange the hood latch release cable with the plastic strip.
  3. Push the cable toward the passenger compartment through the body hole.
  4. Connect the hood latch release cable to the hood latch release lever. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
