Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
- Use J 9886-01
in order to remove the window regulator
handle, if equipped.
- Remove the door trim plate. Refer to
Rear Door Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Remove the screws from the pull handle. Refer to
Armrest Replacement
.
- Lift up on the front door
trim panel in order to release the retaining tabs on the front door trim
panel.
- Remove the door trim panel from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door trim
panel to the vehicle.
- Align the retaining tabs on the front door trim panel with the
holes in the door.
- Push on the retaining tabs in order to lock the retaining tabs
into place.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws to the pull handle.
Tighten
Tighten the pull handleretaining screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).
- Install the door trim plate. Refer to
Rear Door Trim Plate Replacement
.
- Install the window regulator handle (1), if equipped.
