Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Hose Replacement General

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the transmission oil cooler pipe and retainer. Refer to Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement and Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 100058  Size: SH
  4. Remove the transmission hoses.
  5. Remove the hoses from the transmission oil cooler pipes.
  6. Remove the hoses

Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect that the thread engagement is correct.

  2. Object Number: 100058  Size: SH
  3. Position the hoses.
  4. Hand start the hoses on the following locations:
  5. 3.1. The transmission oil cooler pipes.
    3.2. The transmission
  6. Align the clip in the hole to the transmission hole.
  7. Install the bolt.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt and the screw to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the hoses to the transmission oil cooler pipes.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the hoses to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  11. Install the hoses to the transmission
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the hoses to 21 N·m (15 lb ft).

  13. Install the transmission oil cooler pipe and retainer. Refer to Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement .
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Adjust the transmission fluid level.

Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Hose Replacement Auxiliary

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Support the vehicle with a suitable stand.
  3. Remove the auxiliary oil cooler line mounting brackets.
  4. Remove the hose from the auxiliary oil cooler.
  5. Remove the hose from the transmission oil cooler pipe.
  6. Reposition the radiator air side baffle. Refer to Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
  7. Remove the hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Inspect that the thread engagement is correct.
  2. Install the hose.
  3. Position the radiator air side baffle in place. Refer to Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
  4. Install the hose on the transmission oil cooler pipe.
  5. Install the hose on the auxiliary oil cooler.
  6. Install the mounting brackets on the auxiliary oil cooler lines.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the lower bracket bolts to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in). Refer to

  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Adjust the transmission fluid level.
