A damaged actuator rod

Replace the rod as necessary.

Refer to Steering Column Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

Incorrect steering shaft to the rack tooth engagement
  1. Inspect the components as necessary.
  2. Reassemble the components.

    3. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .

A faulty switch

Replace the switch.

Refer to Steering Column Replacement or Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement or Steering Shaft, Lower Bearing, and Jacket - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
