Mode Valve Actuator Replacement Outer

1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
2. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
3. Remove the temperature actuator. Refer to Temperature Actuator Replacement .



4. Disconnect the vacuum line (1) from the mode valve vacuum actuator.
5. Released the mode valve vacuum actuator retaining clip (2) from the HVAC module.
6. Disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod (3) from the mode valve lever and remove the mode valve vacuum actuator.

1. Connect the mode valve vacuum actuator pushrod (3) to the mode valve lever and position the mode valve vacuum actuator.
2. Align the mode valve vacuum actuator and press inward to engage retaining clip (2) on the mounting tabs on the HVAC module.
3. Connect the vacuum line (1) to the mode valve vacuum actuator.
4. Install the temperature actuator. Refer to Temperature Actuator Replacement .
5. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster bracket. Refer to Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
6. Install the left side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.

Mode Valve Actuator Replacement Inner

1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.



3. Disconnect the vacuum line (1) from the mode valve vacuum actuator.
4. Released the mode valve vacuum actuator retaining clip (2) from the HVAC module.
5. Disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod (3) from the mode valve lever and remove the actuator.

1. Connect the vacuum actuator pushrod (3) to the mode valve lever and position the actuator.
2. Align the actuator and press inward to engaged on the mounting tabs (2) on the HVAC module.
3. Connect the vacuum line (1) to the mode valve vacuum actuator.
4. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
5. Install the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
