Did the test lamp illuminate?

Is fuse 39 open?

Using a test lamp backprobe between B+ and the headlamp switch connector terminal A.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Using a test lamp backprobe between the headlamp switch connector terminal N and the ground.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Using a test lamp backprobe between the headlamp switch connector terminal F and the ground.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step  7

  1. Open any vehicle door.
  2. Using a test lamp backprobe between B+ and the headlamp switch connector terminal B.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step  18

  1. Replace fuse 26.
  2. Inspect fuse 26 again.

Is fuse 26 open again?

Go to Step  11

  1. Remove fuse 26.
  2. Using a test lamp probe between fuse 26 terminal A3 and the ground.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step  12

  1. Replace fuse 39.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Inspect fuse 39 again.

Is fuse 39 open again?

Go to Step  14

Repair short to ground in circuit 240.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 240.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 242.

Repair short to ground in circuit 39.

Repair the poor connection or open in circuit 150.

  1. Inspect the headlamp switch connector for poor terminal contact.
  2. Inspect circuit 156 for a short to B+.
  3. Replace the headlamp switch if connection is OK. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect any of the connectors or components that were removed.

Have all repairs been made?
