- Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
- Remove the key from the ignition lock cylinder.
- Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm electrical
connector.
- Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the seat belt/ ignition
key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal C1 and ground.
Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

- Using a DMM, measure the resistance between the seat belt/ ignition
key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal C1 and ground.

- Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm electrical connector
for a short at the ground terminal:
- If the connector is OK, replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps

to ground in CKT 80 between C201 and the ignition key warning switch.
- If the wiring is OK, replace the ignition key warning switch.
