  1. Place the key in the ignition switch.
  2. Leave the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
  3. Open the driver side door.
  4. Close the driver side door while inside the vehicle.
  1. The chime sound (1 pulse per second) when the driver side door is open.
  2. The chime does not sound when the driver side door is closed.

  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK or the HEAD position.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.

The chime sounds (1 pulse per 0.5 second) when the headlamp switch is in the PARK position or the HEAD position.

Lights On Chime Inoperative

  1. Close all of the vehicle doors.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position or the HEAD position.
  4. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.

The chime does not sound when the headlamp switch is in the PARK position or the HEAD position.

Lights On Chime On with Ignition in Run

  1. Close the driver side door.
  2. Fasten the driver side seat belt.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  4. Open the driver side door.

The chime does not sound.

Key-in-Ignition Chime Always On

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Close the driver side door.
  3. Unfasten (release) the driver side seat belt.
  1. The chime sounds for 4-8 seconds and the fasten seat belt indicator turns ON.
  2. The chime sound stops if the driver side seat belt is fastened within the 4-8 seconds.
  3. The fasten seat belt indicator turns OFF when the driver side seat belt is fastened.
    •  Chime Inoperative

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Close the driver side door.
  3. Fasten the driver side seat belt.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  1. The chime does not sound.
  2. The fasten seat belt indicator remains unlit.
