Inspect fuse 10 in the fuse block.

  1. Replace fuse 10.
  2. Inspect fuse 10.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector.
  3. Using a test lamp, probe between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal B1 and B2.

Does the test light illuminate?

Using a test lamp, probe between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm harness connector terminal B1 and the ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 640.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ignition key/lamps alarm connector terminal B1 and terminal B2 for a poor connection.
  2. Replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamp alarm if no poor connection is found. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal B2 for a poor connection.
  2. Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 1550 if the connections are good.

  1. Inspect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal B1 for a poor connection
  2. Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 640 if the connection is good.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect the connectors and reinstall the components that were removed.
