With normal use, the battery in the keyless entry transmitter
should last for about 2 years.
If the transmitter does not work in the normal range, the battery is
weak. If you have to get close to the vehicle in order to operate the transmitter,
change the battery.
Removal Procedure
- Insert a dime or a flat-bladed tool into the slot on the side
of the transmitter. Twist the tool and separate the halves of the transmitter.
- Remove the battery from the transmitter.
Installation Procedure
- Install a battery into the transmitter.
- Reassemble the transmitter.
Ensure that the halves are snapped together tightly so that no water
will get in.
- Synchronize the transmitter. Refer to
