Inner Belt Sealing Strip Replacement Front Door

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 293573  Size: MH
  1. Lower the window.
  2. Remove the door inner trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
  3. Remove the sealing strip (1) by lifting it off the weld flange.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 293573  Size: MH
  1. Position the sealing strip (1) to the weld flange.
  2. Important: Make sure the front end of the belt sealing strip is inserted into the gap formed by the window run channel and the door inner trim panel.

    Make sure the rear end of the inner belt sealing strip is flush to the rear end of the window run channel but not interfering with the path of the window.

  3. Firmly press each end of the front door inner belt sealing strip to secure it to the weld flange.
  4. Seat the entire length of the sealing strip.
  5. Ensure proper engagement of the sealing strip on the weld flange by using a rubber mallet.
  6. Install the door inner trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
  7. Raise the window.

Inner Belt Sealing Strip Replacement Rear Door

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


    Object Number: 294796  Size: MH
  1. Lower the window.
  2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
  3. Remove the sealing strip (1) by lifting up on the strip using J 38778 .

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 294796  Size: MH
  1. Position the sealing strip.
  2. Engage each end of the sealing strip (1) by pressing the strip firmly onto the front and rear ends of the pinch-weld flange (2).
  3. Seat the entire length of the sealing strip.
  4. Use a rubber mallet to ensure proper engagement of the sealing strip on the pinch-weld flange.
  5. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
