Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    3. Caution: Standard shop practices, particularly eye protection, should be followed during these operations to avoid personal injury.

    Important: Support the back side of the rivet while driving the mandrel out to avoid bending the metal.

  3. Use a center punch to remove the rivet mandrel.

    4. Object Number: 294857 Size: SH
  4. Use a 6.35 mm (¼ in) drill bit in order to drill out the door handle rivet (4).
  5. Remove the inside door handle from the door (5).
  6. Remove the inside lock rod from the inside door handle (2).
  7. Remove the inside handle rod from the inside door handle (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 294857 Size: SH
  1. Install the inside handle rod to the inside door handle (3).
  2. Secure the handle rod with a clip.
  3. Install the inside lock rod to the inside door handle (2).
  4. Secure the inside lock rod with a clip.
  5. Install the inside door handle to the door by inserting the tabs into the door metal slots.
  6. Install the rivet (4).
  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
