Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 1996 🢒 Lumina APV 🢒 Transmission/Transaxle 🢒 Automatic Transaxle - 4T60-E 🢒 Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 97334 Size: SH

    Important: Only remove the lip ring seal which is pressed into the case if the replacement is necessary.

  2. Remove the filter.
  3. Perform the following inspection on the screen:
    4. • Metal particles
    • Clutch facing material
    • Rubber particles
    • Engine coolant
    • Determine and correct the source of contamination.
    • Dip the screen in solvent and blow dry.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 97334 Size: SH
  1. Install the seal.
  2. Install the new lip ring seal into the case if necessary.
  3. Install the new filter if necessary.
  4. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
  5. Adjust the fluid level.
  6. Inspect for the following:
    7. • Proper completion of repairs
    • Proper fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check
    • Fluid leaks. Refer to Fluid Leak Diagnosis and Repair .
