Right Rear Power Window Does Not Operate From Any Switch (Other Windows Operate Normally)

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the left front power window switch between terminal E of connector C1 and ground.
  3. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the left front power window switch between terminal E of connector C1 and positive battery voltage.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the left front power window switch between terminal F of connector C1 and ground.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the DOWN position.

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the left front power window switch between terminal F of connector C1 and positive battery voltage.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the UP position.

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the right rear power window switch between terminal D and ground.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the left front power window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the right rear power window switch between terminal H and ground.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 170 between the left front power window switch and the right rear power window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the right rear power window switch between terminal E and ground.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 171 between the left front power window switch and the right rear power window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the right rear power window switch between terminal A and ground.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Disconnect the right rear power window motor.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal B of the right rear power window motor connector and ground.
  3. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the right rear power window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Connect a test lamp between terminal A of the right rear power window motor connector and ground.
  2. Press the right rear switch in the left front power window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 668 between the right rear power window motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
