Preliminary Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
2. Remove the knee bolster bracket. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement.

Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder

Important: If you are installing a new ignition switch lock cylinder, refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding.

Procedure

1. Turn the ignition switch lock cylinder to the run position.
2. Using a flat bladed tool push the ignition switch lock cylinder lock tab to release it.
3. Transfer parts as necessary.
