Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1843777 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injectors and fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail Replacement.
  2. Remove the lower intake manifold bolts.
  3. Remove the lower intake manifold and gasket. Discard the gasket.
  4. Clean and inspect the intake manifold and sealing surfaces. Refer to Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1843777 Size: SH
  1. Place a NEW lower intake manifold gasket onto the cylinder heads.
  2. Place the lower intake manifold onto the cylinder heads.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the lower intake manifold bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  4. Install the fuel injectors and fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail Replacement.
