Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the interior trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement.
3. Remove the outside mirror. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Replacement.

Front Side Door Frame Applique Screws (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. It is not necessary to completely remove the applique. Two screws are located on the inner edge door frame. Refer to Front Door Frame Applique Replacement.
2. Pull the front door outer belt sealing strip loose from the door frame.
3. Pull the window run channel loose from the door upper frame to access the rivets.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Front Door Upper Sealing Strip Rivet (Qty: 7)

Procedure

Drill out the rivets around the upper door frame to remove the sealing strip.
