Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the case extension housing. Refer to Case Extension Replacement .
  2. Install the left ball joint at the steering knuckle. Refer to Ball Joint in Front Suspension.
  3. Remove the drive axle at the transmission. Refer to Drive Axle in Drive Axle On-Vehicle Service.

    4. Object Number: 99931 Size: SH
  4. Remove the output shaft retaining clip at the differential.
  5. Remove the output shaft through the left wheel opening.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 99931 Size: SH
  1. Install the output shaft through the left wheel opening.
  2. Install the output shaft retaining clip at the differential.
  3. Install the drive axle at the transmission. Refer to Drive Axle in Drive Axle On-Vehicle Service.
  4. Install the left ball joint at the steering knuckle. Refer to Ball Joint in Front Suspension.
  5. Install the case extension housing. Refer to Case Extension Replacement .
