Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
.
- Remove the anchor nuts
securing the rear seat retainer at the bottom of the seat back (2).
- Remove the rear child seat, if equipped. Refer to
Child Seat Replacement
.
- Move the rear seat belts to the sides of the rear seat back.
- Grasp the bottom of the seat back and swing the seat back upward
in order to disengage the offsets (1) on the upper frame bar from the hangers.
Lift the seat upward.
- Remove the seat.
Installation Procedure
- Move the seat belts to the sides of the seat back.
- Position the seat back
in the vehicle.
- Hook the top of the upper frame bar (1) onto the seat back hangers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the lower
seat back anchor nuts (2).
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat back anchor nuts (2) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to
