Armrest Pull Cup Replacement Impala

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 561680  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screws from the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup
  2. Notice: Apply protective coating/tape at the insertion point of the small flat-bladed tool in order to prevent damage to the inner door trim panel.

  3. Remove the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup from the inner door trim panel using a small flat-bladed tool at the front of the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup and press rearward in order to release the clip retainer.
  4. Remove the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup from the front and/or rear inner door trim panel.
  5. Remove the front door power mirror switch from the front door armrest pull cup. Refer to Power Mirror Switch Replacement .
  6. Remove the front and/or rear door power window switch from the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup.
  7. • For the front door refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .
    • For the rear door refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front door power mirror switch to the front door armrest pull cup. Refer to Power Mirror Switch Replacement .
  2. Install the front and/or rear door armrest power window switch to the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup.
  3. • For the front door refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .
    • For the rear door refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement .
  4. Install the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup to the front and/or rear inner door trim panel pressing into place until fully seated.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the screws to the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to the front and/or rear door armrest pull cup to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

Armrest Pull Cup Replacement Monte Carlo

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 771650  Size: SH
  3. Remove the outside screw from the door armrest pull cup

  4. Object Number: 771653  Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws from the pull cup retaining bracket.
  6. Remove the retaining bracket.
  7. Remove the lower half of the pull cup.

  8. Object Number: 771655  Size: SH
  9. Press in the clips and remove the upper half of the pull cup.

  10. Object Number: 771656  Size: SH
  11. For the left door, remove the door rear view mirror switch and power window switch.
  12. For the right door, remove the power window switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 771656  Size: SH
  1. For the left door, install the door rear view mirror switch and power window switch.
  2. For the right door, install the power window switch.

  3. Object Number: 771655  Size: SH
  4. Install the upper half of the armrest pull cup.
  5. Install the lower half of the pull cup.

  6. Object Number: 771653  Size: SH
  7. Install the pull cup retaining bracket.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   9. Install the screws to the pull cup retaining bracket.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the pull cup retaining bracket screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  11. Install the outside screw to the door armrest pull cup
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the pull cup screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  13. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
