Go to Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control System Check

1. Disconnect the shift lock control module connector.
2. Use a J 39200 in order to measure the voltage from cavity 2 to chassis ground while depressing the brake pedal.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10.0-14.0V

Go to Step 4

Replace the shift lock control module. Refer to Shift Lock Control Module Replacement in Automatic Transmissions 3 Speed - MB3 or Shift Lock Control Module Replacement in Automatic Transmissions 4 Speed - MS7.

Repair the open in the GRN/WHT wire between the module and junction block 3. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
