Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement .
  2. Remove the right knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
  3. Remove the radio compensation microphone. Refer to Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 1332729  Size: SH
  5. Remove 2 screws (1) that retain the data link connector.

  6. Object Number: 1344159  Size: SH
  7. Remove the 7 screws (1) to remove the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1344159  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install 7 screws (1) to secure the bracket.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  3. Install 2 screws (1) that retain the data link connector.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the radio compensation microphone. Refer to Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement .
  6. Install the right knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
  7. Install the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement .
