Tools Required

    • J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator
    • J 39529 Wiper Transmission Installer

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  3. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

    4. Object Number: 306506 Size: SH
  4. Remove the drive link from the wiper motor crank arm with the J 39232 .
  5. Remove the wiper transmission fasteners.

    6. Object Number: 1244682 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the washer hose from the wiper transmission.
  7. Remove the wiper transmission assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the wiper transmission into the vehicle.
  2. Connect the washer hose to the wiper transmission.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1244682 Size: SH
  3. Install the wiper transmission fasteners.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the wiper transmission fasteners to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the drive link onto the wiper motor crank arm with the J 39529 .
  5. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  6. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  7. Close the hood.
