Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1225272 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the center high-mounted stop lamp (CHMSL). Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear window wiper motor assembly. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  4. Remove the CHMSL mounting bracket bolts (1).
  5. Remove the CHMSL mounting bracket (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1225274 Size: SH
  1. Install the CHMSL mounting bracket with the bolts.
  2. Install the rear window wiper motor assembly. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  3. Install the CHMSL. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
