Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the vacuum tank. Refer to Vacuum Tank Replacement
  3. Remove the evaporator insulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Core Replacement

    4. Object Number: 276581 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  5. Remove the cooling tube from the blower motor.
  6. Remove the cooling tube from the evaporator housing.

    7. Object Number: 282343 Size: SH
  7. Remove the blower motor retaining screws.
  8. Remove the blower motor from the evaporator housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 282343 Size: SH
  1. Use the retaining screws in order to install the blower motor to the evaporator housing.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (18 lb in).

  2. Install the cooling tube to the blower motor.
  3. Install the cooling tube to the evaporator housing.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
  5. Install the evaporator insulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Core Replacement
  6. Install the vacuum tank. Refer to Vacuum Tank Replacement
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
