Did you review the Interior Lights Circuit Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms - Lighting Systems

Verify that the dome lamps are always on. Does the system operate normally

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver.
2. With all of the doors closed, test for a short to ground in the door jamb switch circuit.

Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is a short to ground present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the short to ground in the door jamb switch circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Test the ground circuit of the Dome lamp circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is a short to ground present?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to ground in the dome lamp ground circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Replace the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement in Keyless Entry.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
