Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 474184 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  2. Open the front side door outside handle rod retainer (2) and remove the front side door outside handle rod (1) from the front side door outside handle (3).
  3. Remove the following components from the door:
    4. 3.1. The 2 bolts
    3.2. The outside handle (3)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 474184 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the front side door outside handle (3) to the door. Secure the handle with the 2 bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the front side door outside handle bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the front side door outside handle rod (1) to the outside handle (3). Secure the rod by closing the front side door outside handle rod retainer (2).
  3. Install the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
