Removal Procedure

  1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the grill. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  3. Object Number: 467833  Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt and the compressor suction hose (2) from the compressor.
  5. Disconnect the compressor suction hose-to-evaporator outlet tube fitting (4).
  6. Remove the compressor suction hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 467833  Size: SH
  1. Install new O-rings coated with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil to the refrigerant pipe fittings.
  2. Install the compressor suction hose to the vehicle.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Connect the compressor suction hose-to-evaporator outlet tube fitting (4).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  6. Install the compressor suction hose (2) to the compressor. Secure with the bolt.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  8. Install the grill. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  9. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  10. Operate the A/C system and test for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
