Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1479955 Size: SH
  1. Open the fuel filler door (1).
  2. Remove the fuel filler cap (4) and tether (3).

    3. Object Number: 1479949 Size: SH
  3. Remove the fuel filler pocket (1). Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the fuel filler door interlock cable from the fuel filler door. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Innerlock Cable Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1482267 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws (1, 2) from the fuel filler door.
  6. Remove the fuel filler door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1482267 Size: SH
  1. Align the fuel filler door to the vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fuel filler door screws (1, 2) and tighten, in sequence, to 10 N·m (89 lb in) .
  3. Connect the fuel filler door interlock cable to the fuel filler door. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Innerlock Cable Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1479949 Size: SH
  4. Install the fuel filler pocket (1). Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1479955 Size: SH
  5. Install the fuel filler cap (4) and tether (3).
  6. Close the fuel filler door (1).
