DEFINITION: With the rear video system on, the radio off and the rear seat audio (RSA) module off, one of the following conditions occurs:

    • The liftgate speakers, overhead speakers and the wireless headphones do not play video audio through one side.
    • The liftgate and overhead speakers do not play video audio. Video audio is OK through the wireless headphones.
    • One or both overhead speakers do not play video audio. Video audio is OK through the liftgate speakers and the wireless headphones.

  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Turn on the wireless headphones.
  3. Test the operation of the radio and rear seat audio (RSA) module with the rear video system off.
  4. Turn off the radio and the RSA module.
  5. Turn on power to the video cassette player (VCP) and the video display.
  6. Insert a pre-recorded VHS tape in the VCP and press the PLAY button on the VCP. The video display plays video from the VCP. Video audio plays through the overhead speakers, liftgate speakers and the wireless headphones (both channels).
  7. While the VCP is playing, turn the radio ON. The overhead speakers and liftgate speakers mute. The front speakers play radio audio. Video audio plays through the wireless headphones (both channels).
  8. Turn on the RSA module. The wired headphones play radio audio.
  9. Test the wireless headphones using the channel switch and the volume control on the headphones. The wireless headphones play radio audio through one channel and video audio through the other channel.

Does the system operate normally?
