Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1263828 Size: SH
  1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
  2. Remove the camshaft gears. Refer to Camshaft Gear Replacement .
  3. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner bolt.
  4. Remove the timing belt automatic tensioner.

  5. Remove the timing belt idler pulley bolt/nut.
  6. Remove the timing belt idler pulleys.

    7. Object Number: 1263617 Size: SH
  7. Remove the engine mount retaining bolts.
  8. Remove the engine mount.

    9. Object Number: 1263769 Size: SH
  9. Remove the crankshaft timing belt drive gear bolt.
  10. Remove the crankshaft timing belt gear.

    11. Object Number: 1263771 Size: SH
  11. Remove the rear timing belt cover screws/bolt.
  12. Remove the rear timing belt cover.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1263828 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear timing belt cover.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear timing belt cover screws/bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear cover screws/bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  3. Install the crankshaft timing belt gear.
  4. Install the crankshaft timing belt gear bolt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the timing belt gear bolt to 130 N·m (96 lb ft) + 45 degrees + 5 degrees.

  5. Install the timing belt automatic tensioner bolt.
  6. Install the timing belt automatic tensioner.

    7. Object Number: 1263617 Size: SH
  7. Install the engine mount.
  8. Install the engine mount retaining bolts.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1263615 Size: SH
  9. Install the timing belt idler pulleys.
  10. Install the timing belt idler pulley bolt/nut.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the idler pulley bolt/nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Install the camshaft gear. Refer to Camshaft Gear Replacement .
  12. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
