Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1265719 Size: SH
  1. Release the parking brake.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the rear wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  4. Remove the detent screw from the brake drum.
  5. Remove the brake drum.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1265719 Size: SH
  1. Install the brake drum. Refer to Brake Drum Replacement .

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the detent screw to the brake drum.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 5 N·m (4 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  4. Inspect the brake drum.
