EN 47519 Fuel Pressure Gage Adapter

Notice: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.




1. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.



2. Disconnect the speedometer speed sensor electrical connector.



3. Remove the clip and the bolt from the universal joint.



4. Remove the clutch release cylinder bracket bolts (2) and the clutch release cylinder bracket (1).



5. Install the EN 47519  (1).



6. Remove the transaxle-to-engine upper bolts.



7. Remove both of the drive axle shafts. Refer to Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement .



8. Remove the left front transaxle support bracket bolts and nut.
9. Remove the left front transaxle support bracket cage.



10. Remove the left front transaxle support bracket bolts (1) and the left front transaxle support bracket (2).



11. Support the transaxle with a transaxle support jack (1).



12. Remove the shift linkage bolt (2) and the shift linkage (1).



13. Remove the lower transaxle-to-engine bolts.



14. Remove the lower transaxle to engine bolts.



15. Remove the left shift linkage bracket bolts (1) and the left shift linkage bracket (2).



16. Remove the transaxle.

Important: Rest the transaxle only in an upright position.

17. Slide the transaxle sideways away from the engine block.
18. Lower the transaxle.

1. Support the transaxle with a transaxle support jack (1).
2. Install the transaxle by inserting the transaxle input shaft into the clutch disc and sliding the transaxle sideways into the engine block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




3. Install the left shift linkage bracket bolts (1) and the left shift linkage bracket (2).

Tighten
Tighten the left shift linkage bracket bolts to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).




4. Install the lower transaxle-to-engine bolts.

Tighten

•	Tighten the transaxle to engine lower bolts (1) to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).

•	Tighten the transaxle to engine lower bolts (2) to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).




5. Install the lower transaxle to engine bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the transaxle to engine lower bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).




6. Install the shift linkage bolt and the shift linkage.

Tighten
Tighten the shift linkage bolts to 14 N·m (124 lb in).




7. Install the left front transaxle support bracket bolts (1) and the left front transaxle support bracket (2).

Tighten
Tighten the left front transaxle support bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).




8. Install the left front transaxle support bracket cage (2).
9. Install the left front transaxle support bracket bolts (1) and nut.

Tighten
Tighten the left front transaxle support bracket bolts and nut to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

10. Install both of the drive axle shafts. Refer to Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement .



11. Install the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the upper transaxle to engine bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).




12. Remove the EN 47519 (1).



13. Install the clutch release cylinder bracket bolts (2) and the clutch release cylinder bracket (1).

Tighten
Tighten the clutch release cylinder bracket bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).




14. Install the clip and the bolt to the universal joint.



15. Connect the speedometer speed sensor electrical connector.



16. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector.
17. Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection .
