Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the headliner. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
- Remove the drain hoses.
- Remove the strap.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the motor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the strap.
- Remove the motor control module.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the sunroof housing from the vehicle.
Notice: Some vehicles equipped with sunroofs utilize drain tubes, routed through
the upper body pillars, to prevent water from entering the vehicle. Use care
not to damage the drain tubes, otherwise, damage to the interior of the vehicle
may occur.
- Remove the drain channel.
- Remove the sunshade.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sunshade.
- Install the drain channel.
- Install the sunroof housing into the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the sunroof housing bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the motor control module.
- Install the strap.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the motor.
- Install the bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the motor bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the strap.
- Install the drain hoses.
- Install the headliner. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
