Rear Bumper Replacement Canyon/Colorado

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the license plate lamp harness.

  2. Object Number: 1313596  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bumper bracket to frame bolts.
  4. Remove the bumper.
  5. Remove the bracket to bumper bolts.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1313596  Size: SH
  1. Install the bumper brackets to the bumper.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bumper bracket to bumper bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bracket to bumper bolts to 160 N·m (118 lb ft).

  5. Install the bumper to the vehicle.
  6. Install the bumper bracket to frame bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bumper to frame bolts to 160 N·m (118 lb ft).

Rear Bumper Replacement XTREME

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the license plate lamp harness.
  2. Remove the rear fasica. Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 1313596  Size: SH
  4. Remove the bumper bracket to frame bolts.
  5. Remove the bumper.
  6. Remove the bracket to bumper bolts.
