DEFINITION: This diagnostic procedure is used to diagnose a lock or unlock inoperative condition of the LF door from either a door lock switch or a keyless entry transmission. The passenger door operates properly.

Did you perform the Remote Keyless Entry System Check?

Does the LF door lock but not unlock with either a door lock switch or a keyless entry transmission?

Go to Step 8

  1. Disconnect connector C209 at the LH A - pillar.
  2. Connect a test lamp between cavity D and ground.
  3. Press the LF door lock switch to lock position.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Connect a J 39200 DMM, set on ohms, between C209 cavity C and ground.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 7

  1. Inspect for an open(s) in CKT(s) 294 (TAN) and 295 (GRY) between C209 and the LF door lock motor. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. If no opens are found, replace the LF door lock motor. Refer to Power Door Lock Actuator Replacement in Doors.

Repair the open CKT 295 (GRY) between C209 and S260. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Check for an open in CKT 694 (TAN) between the remote control door lock receiver and C209. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. If no open was found, replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement .
