Important: The following steps must be performed prior to beginning the system check:

Depress the UNLOCK button on the remote keyless entry transmitter once.

The drivers door unlocks and the courtesy lamps illuminate.

Depress the UNLOCK button on the remote keyless entry transmitter twice.

All doors unlock (except cargo doors or liftgate) and the courtesy lamps illuminate.

Depress the REAR 2X button twice.

The cargo doors unlock or the liftgate releases and the courtesy lamps illuminate.

Depress the LOCK button on the remote keyless entry transmitter once.

All doors lock including the cargo doors (the liftgate must be manually latched).

On Luxury vehicles, perform the following:

1. Press the alarm/panic button.
2. Place the ignition switch to the ON position.

1. The vehicles horn sounds.
2. The headlamps flash.
3. The horn and headlamps stop when the ignition is placed in the ON position.
