Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the front of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the inner antenna base.
  3. Remove the cell antenna mast by turning counterclockwise.

  4. Object Number: 718021  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fastener until the outer base can be separated from the roof of the vehicle.
  6. Push on the tab in the small hole of the inner antenna base.
  7. Remove the inner antenna base from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 718021  Size: SH
  1. Install the inner antenna base in the large hole first, then push in the tab into the small hole until the tab locks into place.
  2. Install the outer antenna base to the roof.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the fastener.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna fastener to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  6. Install the outer antenna mast to the fastener by turning clockwise.
  7. Connect the coaxial cable to the inner antenna base.
  8. Install the front of the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
