Battery Boost Resistor Replacement 5.3L Engine w/RPO HP2

1. Disconnect the generator battery carrier. Refer to Hybrid Battery Service Disconnect/Connect .
2. Remove the generator battery carrier intermediate cover. Refer to Battery Cover Replacement .
3. Disconnect the appropriate battery resistor electrical connector (1).



4. Remove the appropriate battery power cable nut (4) and cable (5).
5. Remove the appropriate battery resistor connector (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the appropriate battery resistor connector (2) over the stud (3) on the battery.
2. Install the appropriate battery power cable (5) and nut (4).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the appropriate battery resistor electrical connector (1).
4. Install the generator battery carrier intermediate cover. Refer to Battery Cover Replacement .
