Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the primary hood latch bracket. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  3. Remove the horn from the hood latch support.

    4. Object Number: 277529 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 3 hood latch support to the radiator support bolts (2, 4).
  5. Remove the hood latch support (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 277529 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the hood latch support (3) to the radiator support (1) with 3 bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch support to the radiator support bolts (2, 4) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  2. Install the horn to the support. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  3. Install the primary hood latch bracket. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  4. Install the grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
