  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. With a scan tool, select Body Control Module, and Security Data.
  3. Monitor the Door Key Switch.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

INACTIVE

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. With a scan tool, select Body Control Module, and Security Data.
  3. Monitor the Door Key Switch.
  4. Insert the ignition key into the drivers door lock switch.
  5. Turn and hold the door lock switch to unlock position.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

Go to Step 6

  1. Insert the ignition key into the passenger door lock switch.
  2. With a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Turn and hold the door lock switch to unlock position.

  1. Remove the combs from the brown BCM (C1) connector.
  2. Backprobe CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity B3 with a fused jumper wire to ground.

  1. Insert the ignition key into the passenger door lock switch.
  2. With a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Turn and hold the door lock switch to unlock position.

  1. Disconnect the RH mini-wedge (door jamb switch) C3 connector.
  2. With a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity B and ground.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

  1. Connect a fuse jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity B to CKT 1050 (BLK) cavity A of the RH mini-wedge C3 connector.
  2. With the scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

  1. Disconnect the LH mini-wedge (door jamb switch) C3 connector.
  2. With a scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity B and ground.

Does the scan tool display the specified value?

ACTIVE

  1. Connect a fuse jumper wire between CKT 262 (LT GRN) cavity B to CKT 1850 (BLK) cavity A of the LH mini-wedge C3 connector.
  2. With the scan tool, monitor the Door Key Switch.

  1. With a scan tool monitor the Door Key Switch.
  2. Disconnect the purple BCM (C3) connector.

  1. Reconnect the purple BCM (C3) connector.
  2. Disconnect the LH mini-wedge (door jamb switch) C3 connector.
  3. With a scan tool monitor the Door Key Switch.

  1. Disconnect the RH mini-wedge (door jamb switch) C3 connector.
  2. With a scan tool monitor the Door Key Switch.

Locate and repair the open CKT 262 (LT GRN) between the LH mini-wedge (door jamb switch) and C200.

Locate and repair the open CKT 1850 (BLK) between the LH mini-wedge and G203.

Replace the LH mini-wedge (door jamb switch).

Locate and repair the open in CKT 262 (LT GRN) wire between the BCM and C200.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the RH mini-wedge (door jamb switch).

Locate and repair the open CKT 262 (LT GRN) between the RH mini-wedge (door jamb switch) and C200.

Locate and repair the open CKT 1050 (BLK) between the mini-wedge and G200.

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .
  2. Program the BCM with the proper calibrations. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
  3. Perform the Learn Procedure.
