Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 32129  Size: SH
  1. Block the vehicle's wheels.
  2. Drain the air reservoirs. Refer to Draining Reservoirs .
  3. Mark the air lines and the connections to aid during installation.
  4. Disconnect the air lines from the application valve.
  5. Remove the cotter pin (4) and the pivot pin (2).
  6. Remove the brake pedal (1) for access.
  7. Remove the three valve mounting bolts and the nuts.
  8. Remove the dual application valve (3).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 32129  Size: SH
  1. Install the dual application valve (1).
  2. Install the three valve mounting bolts and the nuts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the brake pedal, the pivot pin and the cotter pin.
  5. Connect the air lines.
  6. Start the engine. Charge the system to the governor cut-off point.
  7. Perform a leak test. Refer to Dual Application Valve .
  8. Check the operation of the system. Refer to Dual Application Valve .
  9. Check the brake operation.
  10. Remove the wheel blocks.
