Check for misaligned or bent pulley.

Are the pulleys misaligned?

Replace the misaligned or bent pulleys.

Check for a bent or a cracked bracket.

Are any of the brackets bent or cracked?

Replace the damaged brackets.

Does the drive belt continues to fall off?

Check for loose or missing fasteners.

Are there any loose or missing fasteners?

Go to Step 6

Replace any missing fasteners and tighten to specifications. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Does the drive belt continue to fall off?

Check for a misaligned power steering pump pulley.

Is the power steering pump pulley misaligned?

Realign or replace the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (6.5L Diesel Engine) in Power Steering Systems.

Replace the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .

Does the drive belt continue to fall off?

Check for worn drive belt idler and drive belt tensioner pulley bearings.

Are the drive belt idler or the drive belt tensioner pulley bearings worn?
