Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 22094  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .
  3. Remove the hub and rotor assembly. Refer to Rotor .
  4. Remove the bolts, the washers and the nuts.
  5. Remove the anchor plate.
  6. Inspect the guideways for rust, corrosion, or wear. Clean with a wire brush if necessary.
  7. Inspect the anchor plate for cracks or elongated bolt holes. Replace the anchor plate if necessary.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 22094  Size: SH
  1. Install the anchor plate to the steering knuckle (front) or the axle flange (rear).
  2. Install the bolts,the washers and the nuts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 260 N·m (192 lb ft) (front) or to 183 N·m (135 lb ft) (rear).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the hub and rotor assembly. Refer to Rotor .
  5. Install the caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
