Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 348765  Size: SH
  1. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  3. Loosen the nuts attaching the drive link brackets to the crank arm.
  4. Remove the brackets from the wiper motor crank arm.
  5. Important: Note the position of the right and left transmission links for reassembly.

  6. Remove the transmission to cowl bolts.
  7. Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the wiper transmission assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the transmission to cowl bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the transmission brackets to the wiper motor crank arm.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the drive link nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
