Removal Procedure
Tools Required
J 34940 Rivet Gun
The power window motor cannot be serviced. Replace the power window
motor as a unit with the regulator.
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing
any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to
the vehicle or its components.
- Disconnect
the negative battery cable.
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the window glass. Refer to
Rear Side Door Window Replacement
.
- Remove the window sash.
- Remove the glass weatherstrip.
- Remove the regulator assembly (2) from the door by completing
the following steps:
7.1. | Drill the rivets securing the regulator to the door inner panel. |
7.2. | Remove the guide regulator assembly through the rear lower hole. |
Installation Procedure
- Install the regulator assembly (2) to the door by completing
the following steps:
1.1. | Install the guide regulator assembly through the rear lower hole. |
1.2. | Using the J 34940
, install the rivets securing the regulator to the door inner panel. |
- Install the glass weatherstrip.
- Install the window sash.
- Install the window glass. Refer to

.
- Install the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Install the trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
