Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement Bench Seat

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 298924  Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable in the power seat only.
  2. Remove the seat adjuster trim covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  4. Remove the seat mounting nuts.
  5. Remove the seat mounting bolts.
  6. Guide the seat belts through the slots in the seat. Remove the seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Guide the seat belts through the slots in the seat. Install the seat to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat mounting nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat mounting nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat mounting bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the seat mounting bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  7. Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  8. Install the seat adjuster trim covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .
  9. Connect the battery negative cable.

Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement Jump Seat

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 413876  Size: SH
  3. Remove the jump seat retaining bolts and nuts.
  4. Remove the jump seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the jump seat to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   3. Install the jump seat retaining bolts and nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the jump seat retaining bolts and nuts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  5. Install the body side trim panel. Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement .

Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement Bucket

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat adjuster trim covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 298921  Size: SH
  3. Remove the seat mounting nuts.
  4. Remove the seat mounting bolts.
  5. Guide the seat belts through the slots in the seat in order to remove the seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Guide the seat belts through the slots in the seat in order to install the seat to the vehicle.
