Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
  3. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
  4. Measure the resistance between wiper/washer switch connector C211, terminal E4, and terminal E5.
  5. Slowly rotate the wiper switch through the entire delay range.

Does the resistance vary according to the specified range?

39-680 Kohms

  1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  4. Measure the voltage between wiper motor connector, terminal E, and ground.

Is the voltage greater than the specified value?

0 volts

Go to Step 4

Replace the wiper motor cover assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Replace the wiper switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column.

Inspect CKT 112 for an open or a poor connection.

Did you find an open or a poor connection?

Repair the open or poor connection. Refer to Wiring Repairs .
